Andy Grammer Performs For Riley Hospital for Children [Video]

Known for songs like “Keep Your Head Up,” and “Fine By Me,” singer/songwriter Andy Grammer made an impromptu visit to Fort Wayne's Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center, to help raise money for the Riley Hospital for Children. While the event was free and open to all ages, donations were accepted and two $100 mall gift cards were also auctioned off, with proceeds going directly to the hospital as well. Riley Hospital for Children provides care and support to children and their families. The hospital's talented doctors treat children with a wide range of illnesses, from acute to critical. The hospital is also actively involved in research.

The last minute evening show included an acoustic performance and meet and greet with Grammer afterward. Fort Wayne radio station Magic 95.1 hosted a VIP Experience as part of the event. Grammer is also known for connecting with and encouraging his fans, which was exactly what he did during his Fort Wayne performance.

Named as one of Billboard's Artists to Watch in 2011, he has performed on television shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Live with Regis & Kelly. With quick success, Grammer's very first single, “Keep Your Head Up,” reached the top 5 spot at Adult Pop Radio, several years ago. He then went from performing on the streets of Santa Monica, California, to going on tour all across the country.

Dressed in a casual jean jacket and jeans, with bright red shoes, Grammer entertained Fort Wayne residents during the local concert. A crowd of more than 500 people lined up in the middle of the outdoor mall, near Von Maur, to listen to his music.
